As I type this, Joe is in the living room playing his Batman video game, occasionally asking me for help with The Riddler's riddles. Andrew is padding around the house in his bare feet (he hates socks; he's like his mama in that regard), alternately playing with his toys, talking to himself, and opening and closing the drawers on the entertainment center. Every once in a while he comes to the door of the office, rests his chin on the gate, and smiles at me until I acknowledge him. Sweet Baby Ray is quiet this morning, giving me reassuring little nudges only when I rub my belly; he must be feeling lazy today too.
We were up early this morning (Andrew didn't get the memo on the whole time change thing) and we've already done some serious cuddling and eaten a huge breakfast of biscuits and sausage gravy. There's more eating and cuddling planned for the rest of the day, plus a visit to the park, but not much else. I love days like this -- when there's nothing to do but be warm and cozy all day long.
Last night was Beggar's Night in our town, and we took Andrew trick-or-treating for the first time. We only went to the houses immediately surrounding us, but still, it was not a rousing success. He was tired and cold and wanted to go off and do his own thing. But damn, he sure did look cute.

His costume is adorable!
He's such a cutie, I can't wait until next year when I have my own little person to dress up.
